Effective 26 June 2026 · Lyven is in invite-only beta.
Lyven helps two-adult households share the work of running a home fairly. We take your privacy seriously and collect as little personal information as we can. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. It follows the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Lyven is a sole-trader operation based in Melbourne, Australia. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@lyvenapp.com.
It depends on how you use Lyven:
Your email address, plus basic context about how you arrived (which page sent you, and whether you're on mobile or desktop). We use this only to manage the waitlist and to email you when a beta spot opens.
Your answers to the quiz (which household tasks you chose, who you said does them, and rough time estimates — no names are collected), the split it calculates, and the same arrival context as above. If you ask us to email your result, we also store the email you give — and, as the screen tells you, that email is added to the beta waitlist. We use this to show your result, send it to you if requested, and to understand and improve the product in aggregate.
The account email you sign in with and the household information you enter (your cards, lists, meals and so on). This is stored only to run the app for you and the people in your household, and is protected by row-level security so other households can't see it.
| Where | Our database is hosted by Supabase in their Sydney, Australia region. The website is served by Cloudflare. |
|---|---|
| On your device | The Split Check saves your progress and result in your browser's local storage so you don't lose them. That data stays on your device — clear your browser storage to remove it. We don't use tracking or advertising cookies. |
| Security | Personal data is never readable by other visitors. Waitlist and Split Check submissions can only be written through a locked, validated endpoint and read only by us through an authenticated admin console. |
We keep waitlist and Split Check records only as long as we need them. Un-admitted waitlist entries and un-converted Split Check submissions are automatically deleted after 12 months. If you become a beta member, your account and household data are kept while your account is active; ask us to delete it any time.
We don't sell your data and we don't share it for advertising. We only use the service providers needed to run Lyven (Supabase for the database, Cloudflare for hosting, and an email provider to send you messages). We may disclose information if required by law.
Email privacy@lyvenapp.com and we'll action it. If you're unhappy with how we handle a request, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
As Lyven grows beyond beta, we'll update this page and change the effective date above. Material changes will be communicated to people on the waitlist.
